We are a small real estate brokerage focusing on Chicago's south side. Our geographic focus is the area from the South Loop through South Shore, and east of the Dan Ryan -- South Loop, Near South Side, Douglas, Grand Boulevard, Oakland, Kenwood, Hyde Park, Washington Park, and South Shore. The term Bronzeville refers generally to the Grand Boulevard neighborhood, but is also sometimes used in reference to the Douglas, Oakland, Washington Park and even Kenwood neighborhoods. We live here, work here, and invest here and, as a result, have a vested interest in the development of the community. We have extensive knowledge of the neighborhoods, on a street-by-street basis. And we have experience as owners of houses, condominiums, and investment property. We work with individuals and their unique situations, and work hard to ensure satisfied buyers and sellers. We rely heavily on referral business and seek to establish long term relationships with our clients.
Pam Dempsey Broker/Owner 312-560-8498 cell 773-305-0977 fax pam@bronzevilleproperties.com Pam Dempsey started Bronzeville Properties in early 2006 in order to create a slightly different brokerage firm model, capitalizing on her years of experience in the corporate world. Ms. Dempsey has a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is currently Treasurer of the Bronzeville Area Residents' and Commerce Council (BARCC) and a member of the Bronzeville Chamber of Commerce. She is a past President of the 910 S. Michigan Ave. Condominium Association. At the end of 2003, she retired from a 20 year career with CNA Insurance where she was Vice President and Treasurer. At that time, she started investing in Bronzeville-area real estate. As a real estate investor, she recognizes the value of immediate access to data and became a licensed real estate agent in order to have direct access to the MLS. Coldwell Banker was her sponsoring broker and encouraged her to expand her focus to working with clients. In 2004, Ms. Dempsey moved into a Bronzeville home on King Drive and, in 2005, started considering establishment of her own firm. Having her own firm enables the dedicated internet focus she desired, and the ability to be flexible and provide highly personalized customer service, with a committed focus on long-term relationships versus a short-term transaction focus. With Bronzeville Properties, Ms. Dempsey has created a brokerage firm with a distinct geographic focus - the areas of the city from the South Loop to South Shore and east of the Dan Ryan - this includes the Near South Side, Douglas, Grand Boulevard, Oakland, Kenwood, Hyde Park, and Washington Park. The firm has 3 agents in addition to Ms. Dempsey - Jonese Burnett, Tom Glowski, and Karlyn Battista.
