"About Us" is really "About Me" - Bronzeville Properties is just me at the moment. And plans are to keep it that way for now. However, as a result of being a sole proprietor, I'm finding that I have to focus my efforts, and I can't always work with everyone who approaches me for brokerage services. My current focus is as follows:
-
Residential brokerage (no commercial)
-
Limited rental activity (existing clients only)
-
Clients who are primarily individual buyers and sellers (not developers, banks, corporations)
-
Special expertise with short sales - buyers and sellers
I will try my best to assist everyone who contacts me, but there will be times when I'm just out of bandwidth and will need to refer you to a colleague. The good thing about that is I will make sure I refer you to the a top notch agent, and not just any old agent.
I'm happy to talk to anyone about the real estate market, including presentations to groups such as condo boards and associations. My resume is below.

Pam Dempsey started Bronzeville Properties in early 2006 in order to create a slightly different brokerage firm model, capitalizing on her years of experience in the corporate world. Ms. Dempsey has a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is a former Board Member of the Bronzeville Area Residents' and Commerce Council (BARCC). She is a past President of the 910 S. Michigan Ave. Condominium Association. Ms. Dempsey is a licensed managing broker and member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
At the end of 2003, she retired from a 20 year career with CNA Insurance where she was Vice President and Treasurer. At that time, she started investing in Bronzeville-area real estate. As a real estate investor, she recognizes the value of immediate access to data and became a licensed real estate agent in order to have direct access to the MLS. Coldwell Banker was her sponsoring broker and encouraged her to expand her focus to working with clients.
In 2004, Ms. Dempsey moved into a Bronzeville home on King Drive and, in late 2005, started considering establishment of her own firm. Having her own firm enables the ability to be flexible and provide highly personalized customer service, with a committed focus on long-term relationships versus short-term transactions.
